🤎 business intelligence intern
please apply by March 12th, 2022.
Who we are
We started as 2020 UCLA graduates, who decided to start a project that turned into a company during the pandemic. Since then, we've hosted 2 interns and added a new team member. We're excited to bring on another intern this summer!
Project Memory is an eCommerce startup focused on empowering people to preserve their memories through hands-on storytelling. We launched our first product, a modern photo album called The Chronicle Photo Journal, in December 2020 and have been growing rapidly since.
We are looking for someone passionate about data analytics who can turn data into insights to help our business work smarter not harder. We started off as a small business testing a product out but have grown in sales and reach over the last year. Through this internship, you will get to dive deep into a handful of our key business problems and identify opportunities that will accelerate our ability to scale sustainably.

Potential areas of focus:
-
Lead organization and analysis of sales and revenue data to help predict demand, optimize fulfillment strategies, and improve overall allocation of resources
-
Increase visibility into our customer base and marketing efforts to help strengthen customer relationships, create innovative marketing campaigns, and introduce new products to fit customer needs
-
Identify key business metrics and develop a system to sustainably and consistently track them on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
-
Analyze inventory and fulfillment data to provide clear strategies on how to achieve more efficient and sustainable operational practices
-
Create automated solutions for tracking key metrics, inventory, or sales
-
Research, synthesize, and present industry trends across eCommerce, memory keeping, and beyond
-
Be involved in product design for future product launches
Schedule
This is a remote, part-time flexible internship. Interns are expected to work a minimum of 7 hours/week, and we are happy to adjust this to your schedule as needed. If you are located in the San Francisco Bay Area or Portland OR, we may have the opportunity to work in person on occasion. Additionally, you will have the option to join a weekend retreat with our team.
Expected outcomes:
At the end of this internship, you will have owned 2-3 projects. We’ll set the goals together, and you’ll take on the execution. Be creative and have fun, and we’ll be there to support you every step of the way!
